STAMPIN' UP! FREE AS A BIRD HELLO CARD

My first "must have" suite of products from the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue was the Bird Ballad suite.  BEAUTIFUL stamps and papers, and very cool nested stitched dies to go with them.

The card I'm sharing today was a delight to make.  I stamped the "birds on a branch" on a piece of vellum, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I then coloured on the reverse side of the vellum, with my Stampin' Blends (alcohol based markers).  I adhered the vellum piece to a piece of Whisper White card, before sticking that to some of the gorgeous Designer Series Paper.

How cute is the little label die, for the sentiment?

STAMPIN' UP! SAILIING HOME BIRTHDAY CARD

In our new Stampin' Up! catalogue, there is a fantastic suite of products with a nautical theme, particularly well suited to masculine cards and projects.  I made a birthday card for my eldest brother, based on one of the samples on the cover of the new Annual Catalogue.  Here's what I came up with, using stamps, dies, embellishments and Designer Series Paper from the Come Sail Away suite of products:

I really like the greens (in this case, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow) teamed with navy - a bit of a departure from my usual colour combos!

STAMPIN' UP! TO A WILD ROSE - SEASIDE SPRAY FRIENDSHIP CARD

The new Stampin' Up! catalogue has gone live,  giving us another year of creative inspiration and enjoyment!  I am absolutely loving the floral images in the stamp set called To A Wild Rose.  My card today features Seaside Spray, one of the five new In Colours that will be part of Stampin' Up!'s colour offering for two years.  It is a beautiful, soft, blue.
