STAMPIN' UP! BLOOMS & BLISS

Some of my favourite products in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue are in the Blooms & Bliss suite.  I am completely in love with the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper, and have made a couple of simple cards to show it off.

The only stamping on my first card is the sentiment.  I've added some ribbon, and an enamel heart in one of the flower centres, but it's the patterned paper that's the star of this card:

The next card I have to share with you is using some of the other gorgeous papers in the Blooms & Bliss pack.  I can see myself buying another pack of this, very soon!

I stamped (first onto scrap paper, then the "second generation" impressions onto my sentiment oval) some of the flowers and leaves from Blooms & Wishes, to co-ordinate with the background paper.  The sentiment was stamped, full strength, over the top of my subtle images.  I fussy-cut two flowers from the Designer Series Paper, sponged the edges, and adhered them either side of the oval.

JAI #316 : JUST ADD STRIPES, WITH STAMPIN' UP! POP OF PINK

Patrice is challenging us, at Just Add Ink this week, to Just Add Stripes to our papercraft project.

I have chosen to use the gorgeous new "Pop of Pink" suite of products for this card; some Designer Series Paper with vertical stripes, and  washi tape with diagonal stripes.  I attached the washi to a strip of Whisper White card, so the pattern showed up nice and clearly, before adhering it to the card front.

STAMPIN' UP! JAR OF LOVE, RETRO STYLE!

My boys are all away this weekend, so I have been able to spend a bit of time in my craft room.  My plans for yesterday were hampered somewhat, when the power went out for 5 hours (and it was FREEZING cold, and I don't have good natural light in my new craft space!), but I used much of that time to sort some of the hundreds of new products I've bought.

Today I've had a play with the oh-so-cute new Jar of Love stamp set, and matching Everyday Jars framelits.  I challenged myself to use some papers that really didn't appeal to me when I first saw them ... and, wouldn't you know, I just love the result.   I think this colour combo gives a bit of a '50s (?) retro feel to my card.

Pretty cute, don't you think?  I can see all sorts of fun things being made with these stamps and dies.
