STAMPIN' UP! CUPCAKE PARTY FOR SUO #123

I'm just scraping in, with the challenge at SUO Challenges, where the brief is to make "sweet treats".

I have teamed the cute new Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper with my cute Cupcake Party stamp set, to make a slightly over-the-top colourful, busy card!  I had fun making it, but husband thinks it's "too" bright.  Never mind, I'll share it with you all anyway. :)

Listed below are the Stampin' Up! products used to make my card; if you click on any of the thumbnail images, you'll be taken direct to my online store.

STAMPIN' UP! AWESOMELY ARTISTIC, IN BLUES

I've been having a little play with the gorgeous new Awesomely Artistic stamp set.  I used my biggest acrylic block, and mounted three stamps onto it, to make stamping of the images quick and easy.

After stamping the floral, dragonfly and splatter images on Very Vanilla card using Versamark ink, I sprinkled clear embossing powder over the panel, and used my Heat Tool to melt the embossing powder.  Then, using sponges, I applied Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon, and Sahara Sand ink to the card.  Such a simple technique, that gives beautiful (and different) results every time.

This set lends itself beautifully to collage stamping, and emboss-resist.  I can see myself trying out several different colour combinations.  Once I'd mounted the main panel onto a piece of Lost Lagoon card, I added a few Basic Pearls, and a stamped and die-cut sentiment atop a bit of ruffled lace ribbon.

The table below shows all of the Stampin' Up! products used to make this card; if you click on any of the thumbnail images, you'll be taken to my online store, where you can purchase them for yourself.

JAI #265 : STAMPIN' UP! BALLOON BASH

We have a great, festive, inspiration pic over at Just Add Ink this week, to get the creative juices flowing.  Rochelle came up with these gorgeous images, to inspire us:

Here's what I came up with, using the super-cute Balloon Bash stamp set, and the colours Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, Whisper White, and Gold:

I wanted the gold confetti to show through the striped balloon, but popped up the middle balloon using Stampin' Dimensionals, so the confetti didn't detract from the wording on the balloon.

As always, the Design Team members at Just Add Ink have come up with some great projects.  You can check out the others' here.

I've listed below all the products used to make this card; if you click on any image, you'll be taken direct to my online store.
