JAI #244: A SKETCH, WITH STAMPIN' UP!'S FLASHBACK DSP

Tina has come up with a sketch for us at Just Add Ink this week, to use as a jumping-off point for a card, scrapbook page, or other papercraft project.

It is always a challenge for me to not take sketches 100% literally - and those trees made it extra-hard for me to think of anything but Christmas.  However, I was determined to not make a Christmas card!  I focussed instead on the fabulous Flashback Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! - and made a congratulations card, that I think would be suitable for a young man (I do love making masculine cards!).

All of the Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card are listed below, and you can click on any image to be taken directly to my online store.

The rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team have, as always, made beautiful cards for our challenge - make sure you check them out here.

JAI #243: BRIGHT GROOVY LOVE!

This week's Just Add Ink challenge is to use this bright, beautiful colour combination (suggested by Kim) on a papercraft project:

I had a LOT of trouble getting these colours to work together, so I decided to keep my project very simple, with plenty of white space.

I've made a little "love note" for a friend - polka dots and hearts are such a cute combination.

All the Stampin' Up! products used to make this card are listed below; if you click on an image, you'll be taken direct to my online store.

Make sure you check out the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team's creations ... and we'd love for you to play along with us!

JAI #242: SUNSHINEY BLOOM WITH HOPE

This week's Just Add Ink challenge invites lots of flowery goodness.  We have an inspiration pic for you - and you may choose whatever from the graphic that inspires you.  No need to go 'floral' - it might be the colours, or watercolour effect, that jump out at you.   Here's the "jumping off" point:

Although the gorgeous daisies are white with yellow centres, I've used a bit of creative licence on my card.  I have had a coloured panel on my desk for weeks, just waiting to be added to a card - until I came to create this card, I just wasn't sure how to use it.  My flowers are yellow with white centres.  To be truthful, when I originally coloured the flowers using my Blendabilities, the flower centres were orange.  I've used my white chalk marker, and white gel pen, to re-colour the centres for this challenge!  The fabulously useful tiny die-cut butterfly hides an ink smudge.  Love that. :)

I'm very happy with the way this card turned out.  Isn't the sentiment gorgeous?  I've kept it all pretty simple, for a nice, fresh, happy look.

Make sure you check out the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team's creations; we have loads of talent on the team, and love sharing what we make.
