JAI #357: STAMPIN' UP! COLORFUL SEASONS, AND AN ANNOUNCEMENT

Jan has come up with a lovely colour challenge at Just Add Ink this week.  This challenge is bittersweet for me, as it is my last, as a member of the Just Add Ink Design Team.  I've been honoured to be part of the team for more than 5 years (and playing along long before that).  Life has thrown me a lot of personal challenges in recent months, and I need to channel my energies into getting myself strong and focussed for the future.  I hope that those of you who have followed me through Just Add Ink will continue to visit my blog as I enter this new phase of my life.

Now, onto the colour palette we have to create with:

I have chosen to use a stamp set that is coming out in the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue in June.  I was able to pre-order the set super-early, as a perk of being a demonstrator who attended a recent OnStage event.  There's a sentiment in this set, that really resonates me, particularly at the moment ... so I made a card, sort of for myself!

I know that even though I am going through a tough period, "this, too, shall pass".  Sometimes I just have to stop, breathe, and trust that everything will be okay!

Can you see the hint of shimmer, courtesy of the clear Wink of Stella pen, on some of the blossoms?

All of the current Stampin' Up! products used on this card are listed below.  If you would like to buy them for yourself, just click on one of the thumbnail images, to be taken to my online store (Australian residents only).  The Colorful Seasons bundle will be available for purchase on 1st June.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team's creations here; we love to know you've been to visit, so please leave some comment love!  We hope you are inspired to play along with this week's challenge.

JAI #356: STAMPIN' UP! THIS LITTLE PIGGY ... SNEAK PEEK

Here is this week's Just Add Ink challenge, for us to incorporate on a papercraft project:

Despite having bought Copper Foil sheets and embossing powder, I haven't really embraced the whole copper trend.   I decided to take this opportunity, to pair copper with balloons.

The card I am sharing with you today has several sneak peeks of new Stampin' Up! products that will go on sale on 1st June.  (I was able to order these products well in advance of release date, by attending the fabulous OnStage event in Perth recently.)  The focal image is from the This Little Piggy stamp set; the gorgeous dotty balloon is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set; I've used Powder Pink ink and cardstock, and Lemon Lime Twist ink (two of our lovely new In Colors); and have scattered a few Glitter Enamel Dots around.

Now that I've uploaded the pics, it seems my camera lens had a foggy patch on it, that I hadn't previously noticed.  I trust that you can still see all the details!

Make sure you check out the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team's creations - they're fab!  We hope you are inspired to play along with us.

Listed below are the current products used to put this card together; if you would like to buy them for yourself, just click on one of the thumbnail images, to be taken to my online store.  The "sneak peek" items I used won't be available until 1st June, though.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  I hope my card puts a smile on your face.  A little cuteness never goes astray, especially on a Friday!

JAI #355: STAMPIN' UP! DOUBLE TAKE ENGAGEMENT CARD

This week's Just Add Ink challenge is to use this great sketch, designed by Narelle, on a card or other papercraft project:

Recently we have celebrated a very happy event in our family ... my eldest son, Jack, proposed to his gorgeous girlfriend in Central Park, New York, and she said "yes"!  I am so thrilled for them; what a lovely time of their lives, filled with so much love, hope and promise.  I have used this sketch (and fiddled with it a bit), to make an engagement card for Jack and Tanikka.

You can see the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team's creations, using this sketch, here.

Listed below are the Stampin' Up! products I used to make this non-traditional engagement card.  If you would like to buy the products for yourself, clicking on one of the thumbnail images below will take you direct to my online store (for Australian residents only).

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today.  Young love is a beautiful thing, isn't it?
