JAI #331: STAMPIN' UP! SYMPATHY CARD

Nikki has suggested we  Just Add Wings to our papercraft project, for this week's Just Add Ink challenge.

Here's the colour combination I used on today's share:

My winged creature of choice is the gorgeous dragonfly from Stampin' Up!'s Awesomely Artistic stamp set.   I started off with a square of Watercolor Paper, onto which I stamped several dragonflies.  The dragonfly stamp was inked up in Tempting Turquoise and Bermuda Bay, and then Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant.   After stamping the dragonflies, I spritzed the paper with water, and let the ink run.  When the piece was dry, I silver-embossed a few butterflies right over the top of the watercolour images.

I hope you can see the gorgeous background paper I used on my card.  It's a piece of Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is white, with dry-embossed leafy patterns.  Using my sponge brayer, I added Tempting Turquoise, Bermuda Bay, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant inks  to the surface.  The pattern in the paper is subtle, but rather beautiful.

I have listed below all the Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card.  If you would like to buy them for yourself, you can visit my online store by simply clicking on one of the thumbnail images.

JAI #330: STAMPIN' UP! MASCULINE 21st BIRTHDAY CARD

Kim has come up with a great sketch, at Just Add Ink this week.

The season of 21st birthdays has begun in earnest for us.  My eldest son and many of his friends turn 21 in the coming months; our calendars are booking up fast, up 'til Christmas!  I used Kim's sketch to make a card for a special young man whose birthday we celebrated last week.

I love that the Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Papers are ideal for masculine cards, as well as for Christmas.  The classic colour combination of Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black really appeals to me.  I paper-pieced the flagged ends of the sentiment banner, using small pieces of the tartan paper used for the big banner.

Listed below are all the Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card.  If you would like to buy the products for yourself, just click on one of the thumbnail images, and you'll be taken direct to my online store.

Make sure you check out the rest of the gorgeous creations of the Just Add Ink Design Team.  We would love it if you created a card or scrapbook page, and linked it up on our challenge page, too!

JAI #329: STAMPIN' UP! TOTALLY TREES FRIENDSHIP CARD

At Just Add Ink this week, Di has come up with this beautiful picture, to inspire us in our papercrafting:

I was inspired by the colours of the flowers, which to my eye translate to these Stampin' Up! colours:

Rather than making a floral card, I inked up my Totally Trees stamp set, to make a cheerful card for a friend:
