I've gone a bit "cutesy" for this week's Just Add Ink challenge:

I have my paired Cheerful Critters stamp set with some papers from the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack.  I'm not so sure about the sentiment I've used (is it common to say this in the US?), but I am sure whoever receives this card will know it was given in love!  It wasn't until I had finished making this card, that I realised Cheerful Critters is retired ....  so I can't link to it in my online store.  If you'd like to buy a little-used set, let me know!

My stitched oval is cut from Watercolor Paper ... because my original plan was to watercolour the bunny.  I changed tack, though, and used paper-piecing for both the bunny and his/her top.  The ribbon used for the bow has a slight cream tinge to it, complementing the Watercolor Paper well.  A bit of playful ribbon treatment, and a Real Red enamel heart, completes the design.

I hope this card puts a smile on your face.  Make sure you check out the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team's "critter creations" here.

Listed below are all the Stampin' Up! products (apart from the stamp set!) used to make my card.  If you would like to buy them for yourself, clicking on one of the thumbnail images will take you direct to my online store (for Australian shoppers only).

  2. Such a cute little bunny Christine and I love how you've paper pieced him with the love inspired DSP. Those layering framelits look great with the stitched ones too. xx

  3. Haha, so cute. Is the sentiment the opposite to I hate your guts? LOL.

  4. This is such a fun card and such an adorable critter, Christine! I know what you mean about the saying - not something I would find myself saying but it works here for sure!

  5. This is just so much fun. I love the colours you've chosen. Definitely a cute critter card! Kelly x
