THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS #11: STAMPIN' UP! SANTA'S SLEIGH

I'm back with a Christmas card share, as part of a team initiative started by my upline Claire Daly.  Members of our wider team join forces each Wednesday (when time and family commitments allow) to bring you ideas for Christmas projects, using Stampin' Up!'s beautiful products.

Whilst I was (not-so-patiently) awaiting delivery of some brand new Christmas products to play with this week, I decided to show my Santa's Sleigh stamp set and co-ordinating dies a bit of love.  I decided on Night of Navy as a feature colour on my card, and for it to have a slightly rustic, informal look.  Here's the end result:

I started by stamping the reindeer, bow, and presents onto Watercolour Paper, using (now-retired) Basic Black Craft Ink.  I clear-embossed the images, then watercoloured them, using ink pooled in the lids of my inkpads.   The presents were cut out by hand, but the rest of the elements were cut using the awesome Santa's Sleigh dies.  I am super-proud of how straight I managed to stamp the sentiment, without using a Stamp-a-Ma-Jig!

Listed below are all the products (minus the retired Basic Black inkpad) used to make this card.  I love how it turned out, and hope you do, too.   If you click on one of the thumbnail images below, you can visit my online Stampin' Up! store, to buy these lovely products for yourself, if you so desire!

Be sure to do the rounds of all my stamping friends taking part in today's Heart of Christmas share.  We would love for you to leave us some comments, so we know you have been to visit.  You'll find a comprehensive list of all participants on Claire's blog.

THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS #5: STAMPIN' UP! SANTA'S SLEIGH & MERRY MISTLETOE

I'm joining some other members of Claire Daly's Art With Heart team, to bring you inspiration for making Christmas cards, with Stampin' Up! products.

My aim is to come up each week (well, as many as I can manage!) with some fairly simple, easily replicated, cards.  Every year I have good intentions to start my Christmas cards early, but most years, I fail dismally.  This year will be different!  I feel great about being 5 weeks in, and having at least 5 cards made already.

Today I have used a couple of designs from the new Be Merry Designer Series Paper, and a simple stamped outline image, with a bold sentiment stamped over the top.

A bit of Garden Green breaks up the Cherry Cobbler and white.  Please know that the reindeer's nose is actually a Cherry Cobbler enamel dot, even though it looks very dark in the photo!

I have listed below all the Stampin' Up! products used to make my card.  If you would like to buy them for yourself, you can click on one of the thumbnail images to go direct to my online store (Australian residents only).

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Claire has a list on her blog of all participants in today's Christmas share.  We would love for you to visit all our blogs, and leave a bit of comment love!

THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS #2: STAMPIN' UP! SANTA'S SLEIGH

Once again, I am joining others from Claire Daly's Art With Heart team, in a new weekly share called The Heart of Christmas.  We want to inspire you, with Christmas creations using Stampin' Up! products.

This week I have used Santa's Sleigh stamp set, and co-ordinating framelits, and have teamed Tranquil Tide (one of the new In Colors) with Cherry Cobbler.  I think this green will be fabulous for Christmas ... a welcome find, as I had not been convinced about this colour!

The Cherry Cobbler background card has been stamped with a wreath, in Cherry Cobbler ink.  I partially die-cut a third tree, to give a bit of 'volume' and depth to the stand of trees.  The bow was created with Burlap Ribbon, that I cut narrower, and separated the strands to loosen.

We hope you get some great Christmas ideas from our shares today!  If you would like to buy the products I have used to make this card, just click on one of the thumbnail images below to be taken direct to my online store.  Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world today. :)
