STAMPIN' UP! FRAGRANT FLOWERS SYMPATHY CARD

Stampin' Up! has recently released some Online Exclusive products, that are out-of-catalogue offerings.  One of them is Naturally Gilded Designer Series Paper.  On today's card I have used the silver and white paper, along with Bermuda Bay and a couple of greys.

I stamped the floral spray, from Fragrant Flowers, in Basic Gray ink on Basic White card, and coloured the image using Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends markers.  From Smoky Slate card I die-cut a couple of leaves using the dies that co-ordinate with this stamp set.

The sentiment, from Inspired Thoughts, was stamped in Smoky Slate ink on Basic White card.  I used the Stamparatus, to re-stamp the words a few times to get good colour saturation.  The sentiment was cut out using a Deckled Rectangles Die, and mounted on a piece of Bermuda Bay DSP that I'd laid across the metallic paper.  The mat behind the Naturally Gilded DSP layer is Basic Gray.

I have embellished the card with some Pool Party Sheer ribbon, and Iridescent Basic Pearls.

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

STAMPIN' UP! ALPHABEST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CARD

My share today is the card I made for my son and daughter-in-law, who this week have been married for 3 years.  On this simple card, I managed to use three stamp sets!

The Alphabest bundle was perfect for customising this card.  I stamped the leafy labels in Pear Pizzazz ink on Basic White card, then stamped the number and letters in Memento Tuxedo Black ink over the top.  The co-ordinating punch was used to cut them out.  The "congratulations" is from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set, and was stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink, using the Stamparatus to allow me to stamp it several times for good ink saturation.  I cropped this sentiment with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

The tiny hearts, cut from Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black card, were created with an Around the Bend Die.

After embossing the top Thick Basic White card panel with a Basics 3D embossing folder, I cut a Deckled Rectangle window.  A Delicate Edges Die was used to create the leafy border, from Thick Basic White card (I added Adhesive Sheet to the back before cutting, to make it easy to adhere this piece).

This photo shows all the lovely texture.

Before gluing down the embossed frame, I stamped (directly onto the Thick Basic White card base) the leafy Decorative Borders image in Pear Pizzazz ink, using my Stamparatus.  I then coloured the leaves with the Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Marker.

Once the top layer of the card had been added, I added some Basic White flowers created with another Around The Bend Die.  A black Classic Matte Dot was added to the centre of the middle flower.

STAMPIN' UP! NATURE'S PRINTS SYMPATHY CARD IN GRAY GRANITE

This week's Colour Creations blog hop is showcasing Gray Granite, one of the greys in Stampin' Up!'s colour range.  It is a slightly brownish-grey, that I think of as a good colour to use on masculine cards.  For tonight's blog hop, though, I have softened it with So Saffron;  I think these colours together make a nice sympathy card.

The background papers are from the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper pack, and the Subtles 6"x6" DSP pack.

The stamped floral and leafy images are from Nature's Prints.  I stamped them all in Gray Granite ink on Basic White card, and die-cut them using the co-ordinating dies.

To achieve a softer colour for the largest stamped piece, I applied Gray Granite ink to my stamp using a Blending Brush.  The other images were stamped full-strength, inked directly from the inkpad.  The flowers are coloured using So Saffron Stampin' Blends markers.  I added Elegant Faceted Gems to the flower centres.

The sentiment, from Inspired Thoughts, was stamped in Versamark ink on a piece of Gray Granite card, and heat-embossed with white embossing powder.  I cut this piece out with a beautiful little Scalloped Contours Die, and embellished it with a bow made from Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon.

Next up on tonight's blog hop is Catherine Proctor.   Click on the button below, to be taken to her blog:

If you come across any broken links on the blog hop, or would like to see a full list of participants in the blog hop this week, head over to Catherine Proctor's blog.  Cathy does a fantastic job of co-ordinating our Colour Creations blog hops.
