STAMPIN' UP! PETAL PALETTE "HUGS" CARD

Another bundle of products I've been enjoying playing with, is Stampin' Up!'s Petal Palette bundle.  The flowers are great fun to colour with Stampin' Blends, and I just love any stamps with co-ordinating dies or punches.

I paired Petal Palette with Lovely Inside & Out (the awesome sentiment), to make this card for a friend.  The background texture (on the Whisper White card) was achieved by using the Basket Weave embossing folder, one of the free items available during Sale-A-Bration (until the end of March).  Happily, this embossing folder will carry over into our new Annual Catalogue, out in June.

I painted over the roses and foliage with Clear Wink of Stella, to give a very subtle shimmer ... too subtle to show in the photo, obviously!

STAMPIN' UP! PETAL GARDEN BIRTHDAY CARD - SUGARPLUM ROSES

Using the same go-to layout that has proven easily replicatable for so many (!) cards, I've come up with another birthday card showcasing Stampin' Up!'s gorgeous Petal Garden papers.  Sweet Sugarplum is the main colour on today's creation.  I am loving how the Old Olive complements it so well.

I have used a couple of Sweet Sugarplum enamel hearts (now retired) either side of the "friend" sentiment.  Aside from those embellishments, all other products used are available to purchase from my online store.  You can access my store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS #1: STAMPIN' UP! LOVELY INSIDE & OUT

Today I'm joining others from Claire Daly's Art With Heart team, in a new weekly share called "The Heart of Christmas".  We want to inspire you to make Christmas cards, using Stampin' Up! products.

I decided to use the new Lovely Inside & Out stamp set (available to purchase from tomorrow!)  for a Christmas card.  I love the large, graphic, "bursts" ... I stamped them in Emerald Envy and Real Red, then gold-embossed a star on a few, using a stamp from the Star of Light stamp set.  For my rather simple design, I've used three different stamp sets!  It's fun to mix things up sometimes. :)

The shine of the gold-embossed stars and sentiment are a bit clearer in this photo:

This design would be perfect for a mass-production session (if only I had the patience to create multiples of cards!).  It's a flat, embellishment-free, design, easy to post.
