STAMPIN' UP! PAINTED POPPIES THANK YOU CARD IN MANGO MELODY

Tonight's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Mango Melody, a yellowy-orange in Stampin' Up!'s range.  This is one of my least-used colours, so I enjoyed stretching myself out of my comfort zone for this week's share.

I have used the Painted Poppies stamp set, and co-ordinating Painted Labels Dies, to create a bright "thank you" card.

I stamped my Mango Melody card base with poppy images, in Mango Melody ink, then attached a Mango Melody embossed and die-cut curved piece to the top of the card.

For my focal piece, I stamped three outline poppies in Mango Melody ink on Basic White card, then used what I call the "blobby" stamp to fill in the petals with Mango Melody ink.  I added tiny Basic Pearls to the flower centres, after I'd coloured the pearls with the Dark Basic Black Stampin' Blends marker.  The leaves were stamped in Granny Apple Green ink (first the outlines, then the splatter stamp to fill in).  I arranged the flowers and leaves on a Basic Black wreath cut using a Seasonal Swirls die, and added a black and white gingham double bow.  All of these elements were added to a Basic White panel that I'd embossed using a Thanks & Hello embossing folder.  A loopy scalloped border, cut from Granny Apple Green card using a Peony die, was added to the bottom of the white panel before it was matted on some Pattern Party Designer Series Paper.

In the photo below, you can see the curved piece of Mango Melody card, that I embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.  The sentiment, from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set, is white heat-embossed on a thin strip of Basic Black card.

STAMPIN' UP! ARTISTRY BLOOMS PAINTED POPPIES THANK YOU CARD #2

Today I have to share with you the second of my Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper cards, featuring Painted Poppies.  I have white-embossed, directly onto the paper, the flowers and leaves, and die-cut them.

The background panel on my card has been embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.  I cut a strip of Rich Razzleberry card, flagged one end with the Banner Triple punch, and white-embossed on it a couple of the sentiments from Peaceful Moments stamp set.  I then also embossed this piece with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.  Some Artistry Blooms sequins finish off the card.

Here's a closer view of the gorgeous flowers.  This is such a lovely effect, don't you think - and a bonus, not having to colour the stamped and embossed images?

In this photo, you can better see the sentiment banner, and background, embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder:
