STAMPIN' UP! HOT AIR BALLOON TIMELESS PLAID CARD #2

I loved the colour scheme of yesterday's card - Old Olive, Lost Lagoon and Basic Beige - so made a second card, using Hot Air Balloon stamps and dies.   Isn't the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper great for a masculine card?

The balloons were stamped onto Basic Beige card, using Old Olive and Lost Lagoon inks.  The balloon baskets were stamped in Basic Beige ink, on Basic Beige card.

I die-cut some clouds from the DSP, and sponged the edges with Lost Lagoon ink.  Lost Lagoon ink was also sponged around the edges of the main plaid panel.

The gems used on today's card are from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack.

After stamping the sentiment, in Old Olive ink on Basic Beige card, I cut it out using a Countryside Corners Die.  The sentiment label, with a cloud tucked behind, is attached to a different patterned piece of plaid paper that was sponged with Old Olive ink (around the edges).

STAMPIN' UP! HOT AIR BALLOON CARD FEATURING TIMELESS PLAID

Some time ago, I bought a pack of the beautiful Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper.  It's high time I actually used it!

Here's my first creation with the papers, and the Hot Air Balloon stamps and dies.  I have used two different plaid patterns.  The smaller rectangle was cut with a Textured Notes Die and sponged with Lost Lagoon ink around the edges.  The larger plaid rectangle was sponged with Old Olive ink around the edges.  I matted each rectangle on a slightly larger piece of Old Olive Glimmer Paper.

I really like the addition of glimmer paper, to the slightly rustic-looking plaid paper design.

The clouds were die-cut from Boho Blue Two Tone Cardstock, and embossed with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.  I then sanded the surface, to reveal the white core of the paper.

The balloons and baskets were stamped in Old Olive and Lost Lagoon ink, on Basic Beige card.  I used co-ordinating dies to cut them out.

Basic Beige Neutral Matte Dots were my choice of embellishment for the "sky" portion of the card.

The sentiment was stamped in Lost Lagoon ink on Basic Beige card.  After I'd cut it out using the banner Hot Air Balloon Die, I sponged the edges and flagged ends of the banner with Basic Beige ink.  The small Ombre Matte Decorative Dots added to the flagged ends are Old Olive, despite looking rather yellow in this close-up.

To the inside of the Lost Lagoon card base, I added a Basic Beige card panel decorated with a few stamps from the Hot Air Balloon set.  I wanted this piece of card to have a subtle "grungy" look, so stamped "wish big" numerous times in Basic Beige ink, stamped off first onto scrap paper.  It's intentionally light, so the stamping doesn't overwhelm the message that will be hand-written inside the card.  After stamping the balloon in Old Olive and Lost Lagoon inks, I sponged the edges of the Basic Beige panel with Basic Beige ink.

STAMPIN' UP! HOT AIR BALLOON BIRTHDAY CARD FEATURING PETUNIA POP

I really love the five new In Colors added to Stampin' Up!'s range this year.  Look how pretty they are:

Today's card was made to showcase Petunia Pop, but I have also used Summer Splash, and a teensy bit of Pretty in Pink.  These three colours are in the gorgeous floral paper, from the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper pack, that I have used along the bottom of my card front.

I started off with a panel of Basic White card, which I partially embossed with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.  I left a smooth section at the top of the card, which enabled me to stamp the sentiment.  I used the Sweetly Scripted stamp set, and Petunia Pop ink.

I stamped the two larger hot air balloons in Petunia Pop ink on Basic White card.  One balloon was decorated with a scalloped piece die-cut from Petunia Pop card.  The other has the middle section stamped in Summer Splash ink.  The slightly smaller balloon was stamped in Petunia Pop ink on a piece of striped paper from the Unbounded Beauty DSP pack.  I sponged the edges with Petunia Pop ink, too.  The balloon baskets were die-cut from Petunia Pop, Summer Splash and Pretty in Pink card.

From Basic White card (with Adhesive Sheet on the back), I die-cut a few clouds.  They were adhered to the embossed panel before I added the balloons.  I used a Flowers of Beauty Die to cut some flowers from Summer Splash and Petunia Pop card.  The flower centres are 2024-2026 In Color Resin Dots.

Petunia Pop Bordered Ribbon was added, to finish off the design of my card front.  All the layers were adhered to a thin mat of Summer Splash card, then the Thick Basic White card base.
