STAMPIN' UP! PETAL GARDEN PAPER, WITH LOTS OF LAVENDER STAMP SET

One of Stampin'  Up!'s beautiful freebies, on offer until the end of March with a $90 product order, is a lovely stamp set called Lots Of Lavender.  It includes a delicate line image that lends itself to colouring, but we're also given some solid image stamps to add colour to the foliage in a couple of quick steps.  I chose the latter, slightly watercoloured look, option for this card.

I'm having quite the love affair with Sweet Sugarplum at the moment.  Isn't it a pretty colour?  This is the first time I'd used the Sweet Sugarplum striped ribbon from my stash.  It's a soft grosgrain ribbon, that ties into a bow very easily.  I must use it more often!

I hope you're having a lovely weekend, wherever in the world you are.  Today will be a fairly quiet day for me, after a wonderful night last night celebrating the engagement of my eldest son and his gorgeous fiancee.  Such a happy time in their/our lives!

JAI #338 : STAMPIN' UP! WORK OF ART BIRTHDAY CARD

It's Friday, and time for a new Just Add Ink challenge.  Here is our fabulous inspiration pic, to get your creative juices going!

I have chosen to use one of the "brush stroke" stamps from Work of Art, stamped repeatedly on a piece of Whisper White card.  The colours I've used are Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Island Indigo.  A couple of gold touches have been added to my design,  This card is for the eldest of my adorable great-nephews, who turned two recently.  (I now have three great-nephews!!  I know, I don't look old enough. LOL.)

STAMPIN' UP! BALLOON CELEBRATION 18TH BIRTHDAY CARD

Last weekend we attended the 18th birthday party of a special young woman.  The birthday girl is rather partial to a bit of bling, Tiffany's, and the finer things in life.  I really love the card I made her, as it incorporates plenty of sparkle, and was the closest I could get to Tiffany blue!

I've used several stamps from my awesome Balloon Celebration stamp set, to create the background.  Silver glimmer paper, and Pool Party glitter ribbon, were "must-have" additions to the card!
