I have a bit of an overload of butterfly supplies (you can never have too many butterflies, can you?!) in my stash, so the challenge for me was narrowing down to which butterflies to use. I recently had need for a sympathy card, for a dear friend, and decided on a white and gold theme.
To start off, I used Stampin' Up!'s Bold Butterfly framelits to die-cut about 10 small intricate butterflies from Whisper White card. I adhered them to a piece of Whisper White card, and used a stitched rectangle die to create the main panel.
The sentiment was gold-embossed on Whisper White card, and cut out by hand, then stuck onto the white butterfly panel. Some gold glimmer paper and Basic Black matting completed the main piece. The little butterflies stamped in the background are in Gold Encore ink (now retired from our range).
All of the Stampin' Up! supplies I used to make this card are shown below; if you'd like to buy them yourself, you can click on any of the thumbnail images to be taken to my online store.
