STAMPIN' UP! PRETTY PERENNIALS BASIC GRAY BIRTHDAY CARD

Today's card is a completely different use of Basic Gray, to the masculine card I shared last night!  Basic Gray provides a nice, dark, background for some pops of floral colour:

The flowers were stamped in Polished Pink, Bumblebee, and Coastal Cabana inks.  I added the same coloured die cuts to the larger flowers, and stamped the centres of the small flowers with Basic Gray ink.  Doesn't the Basic Gray background look great, embossed using the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder?  I die-cut some leaves from Basic Gray card, and added tiny white resin hearts to the centres of the larger flowers:

After stamping the sentiment, in Polished Pink and Basic Gray inks on Basic White card, I dry-embossed the panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder:

I used a couple of left-over die cuts to decorate the inside of the card:

Tomorrow I will have another, rather different, Basic Gray card to share with you.  I've had a lot of fun creating with this beautiful grey.

STAMPIN' UP! BRILLIANT WINGS BIRTHDAY CARD

For today's share, I have teamed Brilliant Wings dies with some of the beautiful papers in the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper pack.  This pack of 48 sheets of 12" x 12" papers cannot be bought, but can be earned for FREE with a qualifying order of Stampin' Up! product.  I love the gorgeous Crushed Curry paper that reminds me of damask fabric.  The two dotty black and white pieces are from the reverse sides of colourful patterned paper in this pack.

I cut one butterfly each from Basic Black, Shimmery White and Crushed Curry card.  Before adhering the Crushed Curry background paper to a Basic Black mat, I embossed the four corners with the "hash" die from Brilliant Wings.  I just love this subtle, unusual, detail.

Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the "happy" (from the Pretty Perennials bundle) in Crushed Curry ink, straight onto the white paper with tiny black dots.  I think I inked and stamped the image one too many times (in an effort to get good depth of colour), as it looks very orange!  The "birthday" was stamped, also using my Stamparatus, in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  The tiny Crushed Curry flowers look a bit like yellow poached eggs, don't you think? 😄

ART WITH HEART COLOUR CREATIONS SHOWCASE - WEEK 41: RICH RAZZLEBERRY

This week's Colour Creations Showcase is all about Rich Razzleberry.  Cathy Proctor is co-ordinating the share; she has a comprehensive list on her blog of all participants this week.

According to Stampin' Up!'s Color Coach (a tool we have, to spur creativity using different colour combinations), Rich Razzleberry teams well with Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue .  I have gone with this rather unlikely colour combination, and I have to say, I love it!

I have created a cheery birthday card with the Pretty Perennials bundle.  I started off stamping and die-cutting a couple of large Rich Razzleberry flowers, then stamped and die cut a few smaller Balmy Blue flowers.  All leaves are in Smoky Slate.  The large blooms have Rich Razzleberry die-cut detail overlaid, and all flower centres have been decorated with Artistry Blooms Sequins.

In this photo, you can see a little more clearly the tone-on-tone stamping I did, on the Designer Series Papers in the background.

Here's a better shot of the sequins (they're one of my favourite embellishments, in the current Stampin' Up! catalogue):

I stamped the large "happy" in Rich Razzleberry ink on Basic White card, and fussy cut around it.  I stamped "birthday" in Balmy Blue ink on another scrap of Basic White card, and trimmed it to size.  I tucked the "h" of the fussy cut sentiment underneath the stitched scalloped border, cut using a Stitched Be Mine die.

Listed below are all the products used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
