STAMPIN' UP! CORNER BOUQUET "THINKING OF YOU" CARD

The other day I shared a card, with a Corner Bouquet stamped image white-embossed on Basic Black card, and coloured with Stampin' Blends markers.  I decided to try this technique on Basic Gray card.  It worked nicely, but I did find Basic Gray card is a little less forgiving of the alcohol-based ink in the markers, ie. any "bleeding" over the edges of the white-embossed areas is a little obvious.

After stamping the floral image in Versamark ink on Basic Gray card, I heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.  Using various colours of Stampin' Blends markers, I then coloured over the top of the white embossed image.  The next step was to run this panel, inside the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder, through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine.

I have matted the Basic Gray card piece onto a piece of Purple Posy card.  I wanted to add ink to the edges of the purple panel, but we don't have a Purple Posy inkpad in our range.  Instead, I ran the brush tip of my Dark Purple Posy Stampin' Blends marker along the card edges.

The sentiment, from A Touch of Ink stamp set, has been stamped in Basic Gray ink (using my Stamparatus, inking and stamping four times to get a good impression), on a piece of Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper.  I used a Tasteful Labels Die to cut around the sentiment, and adhered the decorative circle to a second piece the same shape, cut from Purple Posy card.

Tiny flowers made from Purple Posy card, punched out with the Confetti Flowers Border Punch, were added to the card.  Three of the flowers have silver Metallic Pearls as their centres.

STAMPIN' UP! CORNER BOUQUET HEAL YOUR HEART CARD

 A technique I have wanted to try for a while, and have employed on this card, is stamping an image in Versamark ink on black card, white heat-embossing it, and colouring it using Stampin' Blends markers.  I have used the large stamp from Corner Bouquet, one of the stamp sets you can earn for FREE until 28th February, by placing a $90+ Stampin' Up! order.

After white-embossing the image, I coloured it using various Stampin' Blends markers, and cut a frame around the card panel using a Lasting Elegance die.

The colours of the Stampin' Blends ink brightened as the ink dried on the embossed surface; all of the colours were quite pale when I applied them.  I used the Dark marker from each Stampin' Blends combo, with the exception of Night of Navy (I used only the Light in this colour).

The sentiment, from the Heal Your Heart stamp set (also FREE with a $90+ order until 28th February), has been white-embossed on Balmy Blue card.  I cut a stitched circle using the Stitched Shapes dies, and added a couple of Balmy Blue DSP hearts, cut using another die in the Lasting Elegance set.  A few white butterflies finish off the card.
