STAMPIN' UP! PETAL PARK MEETS PETAL PATTERNS DIES

After this week's Colour Creations blog hop featuring Daffodil Delight, I decided to play with this colour a little more.

Here's the sweet, cheery, design I came up with, using Petal Patterns Dies for the first time:

This all started with a panel of Petal Patterns die cuts - a Daffodil Delight layer adhered on top of a Basic White layer.  I used a Deckled Circles Die to cut out the size I wanted for my card, then matted this on a slightly larger Deckled Circle cut from Daffodil Delight card.

I wanted three circles on my card.  After cutting the focal piece, I cut a smaller Daffodil Delight Deckled Circle, and embossed it using a Basics 3D embossing folder.  The photo below gives a closer look at that sweet floral embossed design.  The Basic White background was embossed with the cross-hatch patterned Basics 3D embossing folder.  (The Basics 3D embossing folders come in a set of three, with the third being a polka-dot design.  I love them all!)

The solid flowers added to the circles are from the Petal Park stamp set.  I used Versamark ink to stamp the three-flower cluster on Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Pumpkin Pie card.  I then sprinkled white embossing powder over the ink, and melted it with my Heat Tool.  The heat-embossed flowers were all punched out using the Petal Park Builder Punch.

A smaller Basic White Deckled Circle became my sentiment panel.  The sentiment, from Very Best Occasions, was stamped in Granny Apple Green ink.

Here's a closer look at the rest of the flowers, and leaves.  The leaves were white heat-embossed after being stamped in Versamark ink on Granny Apple Green card.  They were also punched out using the Petal Park Builder Punch.

I added a white baker's twine bow below the sentiment, and some Glossy Dots to the Daffodil Delight flower centres (as well as a couple to the background).

STAMPIN' UP! PETAL PARK GET WELL CARD IN LEMON LOLLY

The new Stampin' Up! colour we're featuring this week is Lemon Lolly, a beautiful soft and clean yellow.  I think it will be a nice colour to use on baby cards ... but the card I have made first is a floral one, as I discovered Lemon Lolly goes beautifully with greens.

I am rather in love with the Wanted To Say Dies, so had to use them for the sentiment on my card.  Lemon Lolly card matted on Basic White card is a lovely subtle combination, which I think suits the theme of my card.

Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems adorn the white space above the sentiment.

I cut a piece of Basic White card using a Countryside Corners die, and stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink the large leafy spray from Petal Park.  I used the "fill in" stamps inked in Parakeet Party and Granny Apple Green inks.  The flowers and leaves stamped separately (in Memento Tuxedo Black) were overstamped in Lemon Lolly and Parakeet Party inks, then punched out using the co-ordinating Petal Park Builder Punch.

I die-cut some additional flowers from Lemon Lolly card, and added Parakeet Party pearls to the centres of the two solid flowers.  The three flowers in the central cluster have Lemon Lolly Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems as their centres.

Along the bottom edge of the die-cut panel, I added a dainty Lemon Lolly border, cut using a Basic Borders Die, that I trimmed with Paper Snips.

In this close-up pic, you can better see that I stamped, in Lemon Lolly ink, flowers all over the Lemon Lolly card panel.
