STAMPIN' UP! FRESH AS A DAISY CARD FEATURING PRETTY PEACOCK

So many of Stampin' Up!'s products have Pretty Peacock in them, it was hard to choose what to create with for this week's Colour Creations blog hop!  Here is another Pretty Peacock card I made, this time featuring Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper (the circles cut using Stylish Shapes Dies, and the Crushed Curry striped paper) and Earthen Elegance DSP (for the background).

I sponged the edges of the Pretty Peacock DSP using Pretty Peacock ink, and the Crushed Curry DSP with Crushed Curry ink, before layering them on a Basic White mat.

Using the Lasting Joy stamp set, and Pretty Peacock ink, I stamped the bottom half of the Earthen Elegance DSP with tiny flowers.  It's very subtle, as the paper already has a mottled design, but you can see this detail a bit better in the close-up photo below.

The sentiment, also from Lasting Joy, was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on Basic White card, and cut out using a Countryside Corners Die.  I used Thoughtful Moments Dies (part of a bundle with a hybrid embossing folder) to cut the teensy Copper Clay heart from a scrap of the Fresh As A Daisy paper.  The tiny Basic White flowers were also cut using a Thoughtful Moments Die.  I used Adhesive Sheet on the back of the paper and card before cutting, so the little elements were easy to add to my card. The flower centres are Lemon Lolly Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems that have been coloured with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends marker.

I wanted a fairly narrow ribbon for my bow, so coloured a length of Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon with my Light Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blends marker.

My card base is Pretty Peacock (too dark to write on, unless using a white gel pen, perhaps), so I added a Basic White insert that is decorated with a strip of the Fresh As A Daisy DSP used on the card front.

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

STAMPIN' UP! HOT AIR BALLOON CONGRATULATIONS CARD

Using the Hot Air Balloon bundle, I've made a "Congratulations" card that I think would work nicely for a wedding, or engagement.

The colour combination of shimmery Boho Blue, Basic White and Silver Glimmer is very calming, and quite elegant, don't you think?

In this close-up, you can see the lovely shimmer, on the In Color Luster Specialty Paper.  I white heat-embossed the sentiment, from Stippled Roses, on the Boho Blue paper. I love the fine, scripty, font.

Using dies from the Hot Air Balloon bundle, I cut clouds from Basic White, Boho Blue Luster Paper, and Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper.  I also cut a thin strip of the Silver Glimmer Paper, to lay across the sentiment panel.

I have embellished my card with both silver Festive Pearls, and Boho Blue Dots.

The background Basic White panel was embossed with the Softly Sophisticated 3D embossing folder - part of a (stamp set and embossing folder) bundle that you can earn for FREE, by spending $180+ on catalogue product before the end of February.

Using Versamark ink, and Basics Embossing Powder (and a heat tool), I white-embossed the two hot air balloons on Boho Blue Luster Paper.  I added Basic White die-cut scalloped details to the centres of the balloons, and added die-cut scallops (one silver glimmer, one Boho Blue Luster) to each.  The layers of the baskets were cut from Boho Blue Luster Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper, and Basic White card.

Inside the card, I added a sentiment from the Lasting Joy stamp set in Boho Blue ink, stamped on Basic White card.  The font co-ordinates nicely with the sentiment on the card front.  I used Thoughtful Expressions Dies to cut out the two layers of the sentiment labels.
