STAMPIN' UP! WHALE OF A TIME SMILE CARD

I'm having a bit of fun with Whale of A Time Designer Series Paper (on special this month!) - and in particular, the turtle designs.  I hadn't paid much attention to these cute little guys until I made a card featuring one of the turtles last week.

The colours in these papers are just divine.  I've combined a few of the different patterns on my card today.  The only stamping is the sentiment, as I want all the attention to be on the gorgeous papers.  I fussy-cut a turtle to adhere just below the sentiment panel ... don't you think it looks like he has a wry little smile on his face?

Here's a closer look.  Aren't the colours, and splatters, on the paper, just beautiful?

I added a few Whale of A Time sequins to finish off the card.  Check out the cute shell sequins!!

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  They are available to purchase from my online store, if you live in Australia.  You can get to my store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

While I'm on a roll, making turtle cards, I will share one more with you tomorrow.  I hope you love these papers as much as I do.   They really do bring a smile to my face.

STAMPIN' UP! FANCY PHRASES BLESSINGS CARD IN MAGENTA & JADE

Today's share is the second card I made using the Fancy Phrases stamp set, and the bright combination of Magenta Madness and Just Jade.

On a piece of Whisper White card, I stamped both the large and small floral images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured the flowers with the Magenta Madness Stampin' Blends markers, and the leaves with Just Jade Stampin' Blends markers.  After I'd coloured the images, I embossed this piece with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.

The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Whisper White card, which has then been cut using a Layering Circles die.  I have overlaid this circle with a Just Jade die cut leafy circle, from the Birds & More Dies (cropped with the same sized Layering Circles die used for the white piece).

The decorative edge on the Just Jade paper strip was cut with the border die from the Peony Dies set.

The natural light was poor when I took the photo of my card.  here's a slightly better look at the Subtle embossing of the Whisper White layer, and the decorative border on the Just Jade paper:

STAMPIN' UP! FANCY PHRASES BIRTHDAY CARD IN MAGENTA & JADE

I have combined two of the 2020-2022 In Colors, Magenta Madness and Just Jade, on my card today.  I wasn't sure these colours would go well together, but I actually love the result!

Using the large floral spray from Fancy Phrases, I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White card, and coloured it using Stampin' Blends markers.  I coloured the flowers Magenta Madness and the leaves Just Jade, then used my Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends marker to outline the image, to help anchor it.

The stamped and coloured piece is cut using an Ornate Layers die.  The larger die from the same set was used to cut a piece of Just Jade paper, from the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper pack.  Because I wanted to tie ribbon around the top, I adhered these two layers to a piece of Whisper White card for stability.  The card panel was first embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.  I then rounded the corners with my Detailed Trio punch.

In this close-up photo, you can better see some of the details, including the Subtle embossed piece, the pattern on the Just Jade paper layer, and the lovely Elegant Faceted Gems:
