STAMPIN' UP! HENNA HEARTS CARD IN JUST JADE

This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Just Jade, one of Stampin' Up!'s In Colors, in our range until next year.

A recent addition to my craft stash is the gorgeous Henna Hearts stamp set, which features on tonight's card.

I stamped the heart in Just Jade ink on a piece of Basic White card, and cut it out using a Layering Circles Die.  I used Light and Dark Just Jade Stampin' Blends to colour the inside of the heart image.  In my photo, the coloured heart looks a lot more yellowy-green than the bluish-green of Just Jade, but in real life I think it's less stark of a difference!

I matted the die-cut circle on a scalloped circle of Just Jade card, and attached that to a Basic White die-cut made with new Eden Dies.  A few Matte Black Dots were added to the stamped piece.

After layering some Just Jade Designer Series Paper (sponged around the edges with Just Jade ink) on a panel of Just Jade card, I added a Basic White Stitched So Sweetly scalloped rectangle, embossed with a Dotty Hearts embossing folder.  Over the top of this, I wrapped two lengths of narrow Black Gingham Ribbon from top to bottom.  The focal stamped piece was then stuck down, and a Just Jade gingham bow added.

The sentiment was created with two stamp sets.  I stamped "I love you" from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set, in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and "FRIEND" from the Biggest Wish stamp set, in Just Jade ink, before trimming the rectangle.  It is raised up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

A couple of Just Jade Square Gems, either side of the sentiment, finish off  my card.

STAMPIN' UP! HYDRANGEA HILL ORNATE LAYER CARD

I used an Ornate Layers die to cut a panel from one of the beautiful sheets of Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper.  Very little extra detail had to be added, to make a pretty card.

Just look at that beautiful paper!

I started with a Thick Whisper White card base, and added a Rococo Rose card layer.  I'd repeatedly stamped tiny hydrangeas all over this piece in Rococo Rose ink, and sponged the edges in the same colour.  On top of the Rococo Rose panel is a Stitched Rectangle of Seaside Spray card, that has been embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.

The sentiment is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink, on another of the Hydrangea Hill paper designs.  I die-cut it with an Ornate Frames die, then covered the ornate top (whoops!) with a bow made from white Flowers For Every Season ribbon that I'd coloured using my Dark Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends marker.
