STAMPIN' UP! MIXED FLORALS SYMPATHY CARD IN MISTY MOONLIGHT

Our first Colour Creations blog hop of the year is all about Misty Moonlight.  I love this dark denim blue, that I have paired with Boho Blue for my first card of 2025.

My card features the new Mixed Florals stamp set, an Online Exclusive product that was just released yesterday.  Read on, to find out how I created the background.

I started off by stamping the large floral images four times across a piece of Basic White card, using Misty Moonlight ink.

I coloured the entire background using the Light Boho Blue Stampin' Blends Marker.  Next, I coloured most of the flowers with Stampin' Blends Markers, in Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight, also using my Color Lifter.  I left the foliage, smaller flowers, and a couple of the smaller coneflowers, uncoloured.

After inking a text stamp (from the new Elements of Text stamp set) with Balmy Blue ink, I stamped it off onto scrap paper before stamping it over my coloured panel.  I repeated this process numerous times, stamping off onto scrap paper each time so the impression wasn't too dark on my card.  It was intentional to stamp some of the text across the uncoloured areas, to add to the irregular/grungy coloured look.

Next, I inked up a splatter stamp (also from Elements of Text) with Versamark ink, and stamped it a few times on my art piece.  I sprinkled silver embossing powder over the splatters, and melted it with my heat tool.  The last step was to sponge the edges of this panel with Misty Moonlight ink, before adhering it to a piece of Misty Moonlight card.

The sentiment, from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set, was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink.  The border was stamped in Balmy Blue ink, and the whole piece punched out with the Heartfelt Hexagon punch.  NB: This beautiful stamp set is on the Last Chance List, for only $14.00, so you might like to grab yourself a bargain!

Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems, and a bow made from White Woven Ribbon, finish off my card.

STAMPIN' UP! ADORING HEARTS WEDDING CARDS

I am consciously building up my stash of wedding, engagement and congratulations cards.  The new Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder and dies are just beautiful for these types of cards.

Today I have two cards to show you, in Crumb Cake and Basic White, with touches of gold.

CARD #1:

Using Crumb Cake Card, I used the 3D embossing folder on its own, to emboss six hearts (along with tiny hearts in the background).  A second Crumb Cake panel was then inserted in the embossing folder, with the dies locked in place inside - this meant that in one pass through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, I embossed and die-cut the hearts.

I used a small Blending Brush and white craft ink to add subtle colour to two of the hearts.  Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I stuck them onto the top right and bottom left heart on the embossed panel.

Some little hearts were cut from Gold Foil and Basic White card, and dotted around the background.

After sponging white ink around the outside edges of the Crumb Cake panel, I matted it on Gold Foil.  White Herringbone Ribbon was wrapped around these layers, and everything adhered to a Thick Basic White card base.

The sentiment was created with the Heartfelt Hexagon bundle.  I first stamped the dotted outline in Crumb Cake ink on Basic White card.  (It looks more like a dashed outline, as I found the photopolymer stamp moved, even when being pressed down very gently.)  The sentiment was then gold heat-embossed, and the label punched out.

I raised the sentiment hexagon up on Stampin' Dimensionals, then added a couple of leafy sprigs in Gold Foil and Basic White.  A few Basic Rhinestones, and a bow, finish off the card.  I found Tear & Tape adhesive good for sticking down the bow (being such wide ribbon).

CARD #2:

The starting point for this card was the second Crumb Cake panel that I'd embossed and die cut already.  I glued two Crumb Cake hearts back in place (from where they were cut), after blending white craft ink over the raised surfaces.

From Basic White card, I die-cut three detailed hearts, using more of the gorgeous dies in the Adoring Hearts Die set.  After mounting the Crumb Cake card panel on a Basic White layer, I glued the white hearts in place.

Here are some close-up pics of the details:

I again used the Heartfelt Hexagon bundle for the sentiment, but used a different frame stamp in Crumb Cake on Basic White card.  I gold heat-embossed the sentiment, punched it out, and raised it up on Stampin' Dimensionals.  I added sprigs in Crumb Cake, Basic White and Gold Foil, along with a few Basic Rhinestones.

STAMPIN' UP! HEARTFELT HEXAGON CARD IN GARDEN GREEN

The colour we're showcasing in this week's Colour Creations blog hop is Garden Green.  This green features in a few of our current packs of Designer Series Papers, and I have combined two of them on my card.

The left-hand, striped, paper is from the Garden Walk DSP pack, and the gorgeous daisy paper is from the Fresh As A Daisy DSP pack.  I love the combination of Garden Green, Pebbled Path, Crushed Curry, Lemon Lolly and Basic White on this design.

The sentiment label on my card was created with the Heartfelt Hexagon bundle.  I first stamped the outline in Pebbled Path ink on Basic White card, then added the sentiment in Garden Green ink.  I punched out the stamped image with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.

After matting the two vertical panels of DSP onto a slightly larger piece of Pebbled Path card, I wrapped a length of Garden Green ribbon around the two layers.  Of course I had to add a bow, in the same ribbon.  This ribbon, from the Real Red & Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack, ties beautifully.

Using Around The Bend Dies, I cut three large flowers - two from Basic White card, and one from Crushed Curry card.  I also cut three smaller flowers (two from Basic White card, and one from Crushed Curry card).  Lovely shiny Glossy Dots were added to the centres of the larger white flowers.  I used Classic Matte Dots as the centres of two of the smaller flowers, adhered to the floral DSP.
