STAMPIN' UP! FLOWERS OF BEAUTY BIRTHDAY CARD #2 IN COASTAL CABANA

A few days ago I shared a card featuring Coastal Cabana, for this week's Colour Creations blog hop.  While I had out my supplies, I made a second card, using this lovely colour combination:

I had on my desk a leftover spray of foliage, cut from Basic Beige card, and lots of Coastal Cabana flowers, all cut using Flowers of Beauty Dies.  Here's what I put together:

The sentiments on this card are from the Flower Cart stamp set, and both cut out using Changing Leaves Dies.   I white heat-embossed one sentiment on a piece of Basic Beige card, and after die-cutting the circle, I sponged the edges with Basic Beige ink.

The white background is a piece of Thick Basic White card, embossed using the gorgeous Painted Posies 3D embossing folder.  Above the sentiment circle, and in the flower centres, I've added Ombre Matte Decorative Dots.  A few Brushed Brass Butterflies were also added to my card.

As you can see in the photos, I sponged Coastal Cabana ink around the edges of each die-cut flower.  To the bottom third of my card front, I adhered Designer Series Paper (from the 6"x6" packs) in Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake, after sponging the edges in ink matching the papers.

I wrapped two lengths of Crumb Cake Baker's Twine around my card front, and (using a Mini Glue Dot) adhered a bow also made from two lengths of the twine.

The second of the two sentiments was stamped in Coastal Cabana ink on Basic White card, and cut out using another of the Changing Leaves Dies.

Inside the card I added a smattering of die-cut Coastal Cabana flowers, on a Basic White panel.

STAMPIN' UP! FLOWER CART BIRTHDAY CARD FEATURING STARRY SKY

This week's Colour Creations blog hop, involving a group of friends who are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators in Australia, is focussing on Starry Sky.  This deep purpleish-blue is one of Stampin' Up!'s 2022-2024 In Colors, that will be retiring at the end of this month.

I have barely used the soon-to-retire In Colors, so decided to incorporate four of them on my card this week!  My main colour scheme is Starry Sky, Basic White and Crumb Cake, but I have stamped some flowers in Orchid Oasis and Tahitian Tide.  I also used Parakeet Party on the leaves.

There's lots of lovely texture on this card, thanks to the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder.  First I embossed a Basic White panel for the background, then sponged Crumb Cake ink around the edges.

The gorgeous sentiment, stamped in Starry Sky ink on a strip of Basic White card, is from the new Online Exclusive stamp set called Sweetly Scripted.  After stamping it, I also embossed this piece with the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder, and sponged Crumb Cake ink around the edges.

Peeking out from the top of the sentiment panel is a thin strip of Starry Sky DSP, from the 2022-2024 In Color 6"x6" paper pack.

I added a Crumb Cake baker's twine bow, and a couple of Starry Sky pearls, to this part of the card.

Here's a closer look at the cute flower cart, potted plants, and "cobbled" street that form the focal scene.

The cart, wheels and flower pots were all stamped in Crumb Cake ink on Basic White card.  The canopy (or is it an awning?) was stamped in Starry Sky ink.  I created colour variations in all the foliage, by first inking the leafy stamps with Parakeet Party ink, then sponging Granny Apple Green ink onto the stamps before making the impressions on Basic White card.

The flowers in the cart are stamped in Starry Sky, Tahitian Tide and Orchid Oasis.  I used Stampin' Write markers, direct to the stamp, to more easily ink up the different flowers. The potted plants have flowers in Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis.

I used co-ordinating dies to cut out all the pieces, and Paper Snips to cut apart the four flower pots.

On another strip of Basic White card, I repeatedly stamped (first and second generation) the pebbles in Crumb Cake ink.  I embossed this piece with the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder, sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink, and used my sponge dauber to add some more Crumb Cake ink to the embossed surface.

My art piece is mounted on a thin mat of Starry Sky card, that was also embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder.

A few more Starry Sky pearls finish off the front of the card.

Inside, I added a Basic White card panel, on which I stamped some pebbles, pots and Starry Sky flowers (again using the two greens for the leaves).
