STAMPIN' UP! FRIENDSHIP CARD IN POOL PARTY

Every week, a group of us - all Stampin' Up! demonstrators in Australia - create with Stampin' Up! colours, and share our projects in a blog hop.  We're working our way through all the colours, in alphabetical order, and this week we're featuring Pool Party.

Here's the card I created with this beautiful colour, using quite a mish-mash of products!  I've teamed Pool Party with Crumb Cake and Basic White.

The beautiful background papers - both the linen-look panel and the floral panel - are from the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper pack.  This paper is a FREE product, able to be earned with a $90+ product order before the end of February.

Here are some close-ups of the details on my card.  On a Basic White circle, cut using Everyday Details Dies, I stamped in Pool Party ink the irregular grid pattern from the Notes of Nature stamp set.  Over the top of this, I stamped the sentiment (from Perennial Postage) in Crumb Cake ink, stamping it four times to get great depth of colour.

The little butterfly is a stamp from Perennial Postage.  After stamping it in Pool Party ink on Basic White card, I cut it out using the co-ordinating die.

The Basic White and Crumb Cake leafy stems were cut using Notes of Nature dies.  I used Paper Snips to shorten them, as the full size of each die-cut extends right down the length of a card front.  I added a few little flowers that I fussy-cut from Softly Stippled DSP.  The Pool Party embellishments on my card are Opaque Faceted Gems, that are another freebie on offer with a $90+ purchase, up until the end of this month.

I stamped the "Field Notes" from Notes of Nature, in Crumb Cake ink on Pool Party card.  I then cropped this piece with a Perennial Postage die.  Check out the embossed "franking" that I added to this piece, using a sweet little embossing die from the Perennial Postage Dies pack.  Hopefully you can see the butterfly impression, that I co-ordinated with the stamped butterfly on the sentiment circle.
Pool Party ink was sponged around the edges of the die-cut card piece, before I attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals to my card front.

Pool Party Crinkle Ribbon was wrapped around the layers on the front of my card, and I used Glue Dots to attach a bow to finish off.

Next up on tonight's blog hop is Tina Gillespie:

STAMPIN' UP! PERENNIAL LAVENDER BIRTHDAY CARD

I think the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper is my all-time favourite of all the beautiful papers Stampin' Up! has ever released.  Big call, I know ... but the colours and patterns in this paper make my heart skip a beat!

My card today is all about the paper, with just a simple stamped sentiment, and a few embellishments.

I started by cutting a panel of the gorgeous leafy designed paper, and sponging the edges with Crumb Cake ink.  I LOVE that these papers have Crumb Cake as the background in the designs.  This layer was matted on a slightly larger piece of Lost Lagoon card.

After cutting another piece of Perennial Lavender DSP, with flowers and butterflies, I adhered it to a piece of Crumb Cake card, a little longer than the DSP piece.  I sponged the edges of the Crumb Cake card with Crumb Cake ink.

The sentiment, from Notes of Nature, was stamped in Versamark ink on a strip of Highland Heather card, and heat-embossed in white.  I laid this strip across the bottom of the floral DSP, leaving a bit of the Crumb Cake mat to show between the patterned paper and the ribbon.

How pretty are the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems?  I added three to the sentiment strip, and a couple on the floral DSP.

Using Stampin' Blends markers in Crumb Cake, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Lost Lagoon, I coloured a Paper Butterfly Accent.  I used Multipurpose Liquid glue to adhere it to the card once I'd stuck down all the layers.

Inside the card, I added a Basic White card panel, with a strip of the same DSP used on the front of the card (having sponged the edges first with Crumb Cake ink).
