STAMPIN' UP EXTRAORDINARY FLORA WREATH BIRTHDAY CARD

Petunia Pop is such a pretty colour.  It features heavily on the card I am sharing today!

I had die-cut a number of flowers from Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape adhered to Basic White card.  For today's card, I arranged them in a wreath, using as a base a circular piece of card cut using Spotlight on Nature Dies.

I glued the flowers and leaves onto the wreath base, then raised it up on Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  The background to the wreath is a piece of Irresistible Designs Designer Series Paper, that I added Petunia Pop ink to with a Blending Brush.  After matting this piece, and the gorgeous Unbounded Beauty DSP, onto a Petunia Pop piece of card, I used Stampin' Dimensionals to add it to the Thick Basic White card base.

Across the join between the two Designer Series Papers, I laid some Fresh Freesia Faux Velbet Ribbon.  A bow made from the same ribbon is adhered with Mini Glue Dots.  The other embellishment I used is Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots.

The sentiment, from The Right Words, was stamped in Petunia Pop ink on Basic White card.  I added a thin strip of Fresh Freesia patterned paper, from the Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper pack, beneath the sentiment before die-cutting it using a Textured Notes Die.

Inside the card, I stamped the second part of the sentiment, also from The Right Words, and added a couple more washi die-cut pieces for decoration.

STAMPIN' UP! EXTRAORDINARY FLORA BIRTHDAY CARD

Today's share is another Strawberry Slush card, that I made after die-cutting flowers from the beautiful Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

The top half of my card is a piece of Irresistible Designs Specialty Paper, that I coloured with Strawberry Slush ink and a Blending Brush.  These white papers have embossed designs, that are highlighted especially when colour is added.  I used a Fancy Borders Die to cut a decorative bottom edge on this piece of paper - then covered it up, using the Extraordinary Flora die-cuts!

Here's a closer look at the graduation of colour applied to the embossed pattern on the paper.

The sentiment, from Arched Wishes, was stamped on the Strawberry Slush mat layer, using Versamark ink.  I heat-embossed it in white.  Using Lifetime of Love Dies, I cut two small flowers from Strawberry Slush card.  I used a Blending Brush to add Strawberry Slush ink to the flowers before adhering them either side of the sentiment.

Strawberry Slush Gems were my embellishment of choice for this card - for the flower centres, and for the background.

Inside the card, I added a rosebud sprig, cut from Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

STAMPIN' UP! EXTRAORDINARY FLORA CONGRATULATIONS CARD

I have had my first session of creating with Strawberry Slush, since it was reintroduced to Stampin' Up!'s colour range - and I love it!  I've made a couple of floral cards; I will share the second one tomorrow.

The starting point for my card today was a whole lot of pieces I had cut using the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape and co-ordinating die.  I first adhered a length of the washi tape to some Basic White card, then ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the die.

Strawberry Slush is such a beautiful pink, and it pairs nicely with Granny Apple Green.

I used the Around it All Bundle to create the sentiment.  After stamping it in Strawberry Slush ink, on Basic White card, I cut it out using one of the irregular circle dies.  There was a small white border around the word, but I decided to arrange the flowers and leaves in a wreath tightly placed around the sentiment.

The background paper is Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper, and the two Granny Apple Green strips are from the Brights 6"x6" Designer Series Paper pack.

I finished off my card design with Strawberry Slush Gems.  They are gorgeous!
