STAMPIN' UP! BRIGHT SKIES FRIENDSHIP CARD

I've used Stampin' Up!'s Bright Skies stamps and dies to make a sweet card, that I hope puts a smile on your face today!  

The background paper is from the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper pack.  I sponged the edges with Boho Blue ink, and matted it on a Boho Blue card layer and Thick Basic White card base.

On Basic White card, I stamped the clouds using Bubble Bath, Boho Blue and Lemon Lolly inks.  The tulips were stamped in Pretty in Pink ink, with Granny Apple Green stems and leaves.  All of these stamped images were cut out using co-ordinating dies.

The sentiment was stamped in Boho Blue ink, and I added some stamped flowers in Bubble Bath and Lemon Lolly ink.

Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins add even more sunshiney cheer.

Not only might the lovely soft colours make you smile, but the fact I had nearly finished creating my card, when I inadvertently touched a couple of spots with very inky fingers.

  Nothing a couple of strategically-placed flowers can't fix!  (Sorry the colours are a bit "off", but I just quickly snapped this near-disaster with my phone.)

STAMPIN' UP! COUNTRY FLOWERS BIRTHDAY CARD WITH TIMELESS PLAID

 I've paired Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper with the Country Flowers bundle, for today's card.  This colour combo was decided by the patterned papers I chose to use:

The main plaid background paper was sponged around the edges with Crumb Cake ink, before being matted on a piece of Early Espresso card.  I cut a strip of Crumb Cake plaid paper, and stamped the leafy image in Crumb Cake ink directly onto the DSP.  After sponging the edges with Crumb Cake ink, I adhered this strip down the left-hand side of the card front.

The sentiment, from Country Birdhouse, was stamped in Early Espresso ink on a piece of Boho Blue plaid paper.  I die-cut the sentiment using a Delightful Wishes Die, and sponged the edges with Boho Blue ink.  A single Tinsel Gem was added to the sentiment label.

The main images were stamped twice, on Basic White card, using Early Espresso ink.  I coloured the flowers and leaves using Stampin' Blends Markers, in Boho Blue and Crumb Cake. 

The bucket was also stamped in Early Espresso ink on Basic White card.  I coloured it using Natural Tones Stampin' Blends Markers (Deep 100 and Medium Deep 300), and the Color Lifter.

As well as die-cutting the coloured pieces, I cut some extra foliage from Basic White and Crumb Cake card.

Using an Around it All Die, I cut a large wonky circle from the same Boho Blue paper that was used for the sentiment.  In Early Espresso ink, I stamped some splatters (from the Country Birdhouse stamp set) to ground the bucket.  I sponged the edges of the wonky circle with Boho Blue ink.

More Tinsel Gems, and a Linen Thread bow, finish off the card front.

Inside the card, I added a Basic White panel, stamped with some of the floral image in Boho Blue.

STAMPIN' UP! HOT AIR BALLOON TIMELESS PLAID CARD #2

I loved the colour scheme of yesterday's card - Old Olive, Lost Lagoon and Basic Beige - so made a second card, using Hot Air Balloon stamps and dies.   Isn't the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper great for a masculine card?

The balloons were stamped onto Basic Beige card, using Old Olive and Lost Lagoon inks.  The balloon baskets were stamped in Basic Beige ink, on Basic Beige card.

I die-cut some clouds from the DSP, and sponged the edges with Lost Lagoon ink.  Lost Lagoon ink was also sponged around the edges of the main plaid panel.

The gems used on today's card are from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack.

After stamping the sentiment, in Old Olive ink on Basic Beige card, I cut it out using a Countryside Corners Die.  The sentiment label, with a cloud tucked behind, is attached to a different patterned piece of plaid paper that was sponged with Old Olive ink (around the edges).
