STAMPIN' UP! REINDEER FUN DEER & TREES CHRISTMAS CARD

There are a couple of things I really like about the card I'm sharing with you today.  One, is that I have a "thing" for trees.  I love the tree patterns on the Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper.  I'll point out the second thing as we progress through the photos!

My card base is Thick Basic White card, and the patterned papers are matted on a layer of Garden Green card.

I have used two different patterned papers - the piece with deer and trees, and lovely soft blue background, and a smaller piece of tree-patterned paper across the middle.  This panel is bordered by two thin strips of Real Red card.

Once again, I've used the beautiful Peaceful Season bundle to create the sentiment.  "Happy" was stamped in Garden Green ink on Granny Apple Green card, then die-cut using a banner die.   The embellishments I've added are Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots in Garden Green.  I die-cut the "Christmas" from Real Red card, and the background layer for the word from Basic White card.

The other thing that I love about this card is the little reindeer peeking over the top of the Real Red strip of card!  It makes me laugh, and I hope you appreciate its cuteness, too.

Here he is again, poking his head over the strip of Real Red card on which I've adhered a Real Red die-cut bow.

The reindeer that forms the focal part of my card was stamped in Stazon Jet Black ink, on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  I used a Water Painter, and ink from my Pecan Pie and Pretty in Pink inkpads, to colour the deer before die-cutting it.

STAMPIN' UP! REINDEER FUN CHRISTMAS CARD FEATURING GLIMMERY PRESENTS

Today's Reindeer Fun card is all about the sparkle, thanks to Stampin' Up!'s gorgeous glimmer papers.

The reindeer was cut from Basic White, Pecan Pie and Early Espresso cardstock.  I added colour to his ears with my Light Petal Pink Stampin' Blends marker.

The little wreath was cut from Old Olive Glimmer Paper, and the bow from Real Red card.

I white heat-embossed the sentiment, using the Greetings of the Season stamp set, and Granny Apple Green and Garden Green card.  The "Merry" was cut out using a Lovely & Sweet tab die, and "Christmas" was die-cut using a Peaceful Season die.

Using the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder, I embossed a piece of Real Red card.  I flipped it over, and used the debossed side for the panel on which my reindeer and sentiment sit.

I love a bit of a decorative border.  Can you see that the Basic White card above and below the Real Red panel has a deckled edge?  You don't need border dies to achieve this.  I used the longer edges of a Deckled Rectangles die.

Here's a closer look at the luscious glimmer, of the presents die-cut from White and Old Olive Glimmer Paper.  Real Red die-cuts add a pop of colour to tie in with the rest of the card elements.

I sponged the edges of the Designer Series Paper with Granny Apple Green ink, before matting it on Real Red card and a Thick Basic White card base.
