JAI #328: STAMPIN' UP! VERTICAL GREETINGS

Tina is challenging us, at Just Add Ink this week, to "Just Add P" to a papercraft project.

My brainstorming efforts, for anything starting with P, resulted in a shortlist of pinks, purples, plants, and paper-piercing.  Here's the colour scheme I have used:

This is the first card I have made with the awesome Vertical Greetings stamp set, that has the cutest topiaries as well as several vertical sentiments:

I grounded the plants by inking up, in Crumb Cake ink, a little swish stamp from Playful Backgrounds, stamping it off on scrap paper, then stamping onto the Whisper White card.  I then popped up the plant pots, using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I have laid two pieces of the gorgeous Sweet Sugarplum glitter ribbon across the DSP panel, as I wanted a wider band than one strip gave.  A knotted piece of the same ribbon has been adhered to the layered ribbon, as a finishing touch.

Make sure you check out the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team's "P" creations.  We would love for you to make your own, and link it up over at the Just Add Ink site.

If you would like to buy any of the items I've used on today's card, just click on one of the thumbnail images below, and you'll be taken to my online store (for shopping in Australia only).

Thanks for visiting today, and, if you're in the southern hemisphere, I hope you are as happy as I am, that Spring is here!

JAI #327: STAMPIN' UP! FATHER'S DAY CARD

Jan has set a lovely colour challenge at Just Add Ink this week:

These colours, along with Very Vanilla, are in the gorgeous By The Shore Designer Series Paper pack.  I have used the papers to make a Father's Day card for my boys to give their Dad.  He has moved into an apartment, with a beachy theme, in a seaside suburb, so this challenge was the perfect jumping-off point for my card.

I stamped some "bubbles",  from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set, over the wavy-patterned paper.  To add a bit of nautical interest, I embossed the starfish paper with the awesome new Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folder (phew, that's a mouthful!).  Very cool, don't you think?:

I have listed below the Stampin' Up! products used to make this card.  If you would like to buy the items for yourself, just click on one of the thumbnail images, and you'll be taken to my online store.

Make sure you check out the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team's creations, using this lovely colour combo.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  I hope you enjoy special time with your families on Father's Day, this Sunday.

JAI #326: STAMPIN' UP! PROJECT LIFE BABY CARDS

Rochelle has challenged us to Just Add Project Life, at Just Add Ink this week.  Stampin' Up! has teamed up with Becky Higgins, to release an exclusive range of Project Life products, that complement Stampin' Up!'s core range.   Whilst intended primarily for memory keeping (fantastic for quick, on-the-go scrapbooking), I like the Project Life Card Collections to use in my card-making.

Each Card Collection has three different sizes of cards, that fit the Project Life page pockets.  They can also be used as a focal image on cards, or in place of Designer Series Paper.

Here's my first quick and easy baby card.  The only stamping is the sentiment.  I added a little ribbon treatment, and an enamel heart, to a medium-sized PL card, and adhered it to a large PL card.

Using the same Project Life Card Collection, I made a second card.  The onesie was stamped on, and cut out from, a small PL card, adhered to a scalloped circle cut from another PL card, and then added to a large heart-patterned PL card.

I had a lot of fun making these cute cards, and love that my Stampin' Up! ribbons, inks and cardstock all co-ordinate with the little cards.

Make sure you check out what the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team have made, using Project Life, this week.  We would love to see your creations, too, so link them up over at the Just Add Ink blog.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  If you would like to buy any of these items to make your own cards, you can click on a thumbnail image below, and you'll be taken direct to my online store.
