STAMPIN' UP! TOILE CHRISTMAS CARDINALS ON VANILLA

Even though we don't have them in the Southern Hemisphere, I have a "thing" for cardinals, so of course Toile Christmas was one of the first items on my purchase list, when the Holiday Catalogue came out.  I broke out my to-date-unused Shimmer Black embossing powder, stamped and embossed a few cardinals on watercolour paper, and watercoloured the images before die-cutting them.  The results are a few cards I will share over the coming days.

Here's my favourite card, also featuring the new Stylish Scroll embossing folder, and gorgeous Garden Green double-stitched ribbon.

Can you see the slight sparkle in the embossing powder, in this close-up?  It really is pretty, in real life!

While I had my supplies out, I made a second card, with a couple of variations.  I added a layer of Garden Green card under the embossed panel, and changed the shape of the sentiment panel:
