STAMPIN' UP! JAR OF LOVE, RETRO STYLE!

My boys are all away this weekend, so I have been able to spend a bit of time in my craft room.  My plans for yesterday were hampered somewhat, when the power went out for 5 hours (and it was FREEZING cold, and I don't have good natural light in my new craft space!), but I used much of that time to sort some of the hundreds of new products I've bought.

Today I've had a play with the oh-so-cute new Jar of Love stamp set, and matching Everyday Jars framelits.  I challenged myself to use some papers that really didn't appeal to me when I first saw them ... and, wouldn't you know, I just love the result.   I think this colour combo gives a bit of a '50s (?) retro feel to my card.

Here's what I made:

Pretty cute, don't you think?  I can see all sorts of fun things being made with these stamps and dies.

Listed below are all the products I used to make my card.  If you would like to buy them for yourself, just click on one of the thumbnail images, and you'll be taken direct to my online store.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

  2. Christine, I think this turned out wonderfully. I get what you're saying about the dsp but you've used it perfectly to enhance that darling jar of flowers. Very sweet!
