STAMPIN' UP! A WHOLE LOT OF LOVELY FOR #GDP001

There's a new challenge blog, involving a few of my stampy friends, so I thought I'd take a break from the endless rounds of washing, drying and folding clothes that has taken up so much of my week, to play along!  (Phew, that was a bit of a wordy opening sentence, wasn't it?!)

This is the colour combination that makes up the first challenge over at Global Design Project:

So Saffron is one of my least favourite colours, so I've included only a touch of it, on a couple of tiny flowers.  I love how Smoky Slate and Pink Pirouette look together; for my card, I've gone all flowery and girly.

It's a bit hard to see, but I stamped tiny flowers on the Pink Pirouette die cut.  The sentiment and surrounding flowers were all coloured, direct to rubber, with my Stampin' Write markers, which gives a more subtle colour intensity than if I had used inkpads.

Listed below are all the current Stampin' Up! products used to make this card; you'll be taken direct to my online store, if you click on any of the thumbnail images.  NB:  The stamp set I used may be earned for free with Stampin' Rewards, with a qualifying order, only (so the price is just indicative).

  3. Hey Christine, this card is looking good but ALL your cards look good. I hear you on the so Saffron, I very rarely use it and I would normally go to Blushing Bride over Pink Pirouette.

  4. Christine, you have balanced these colors so well in your design. I love the Pink Pirouette stamping on the pink border, it adds just enough texture there. Thanks for joining us at Global Design Project.
