JAI #253: REGARDING DAHLIAS

Nikki has come up with some bold and beautiful inspiration pics for us at Just Add Ink this week.  Take a look:

The wall decoration above the bed immediately made me think of the gorgeous big bloom from Stampin' Up!'s Regarding Dahlias stamp set.  I have incorporated some black and white patterned paper (inspired by the sheets and pillowcases), a horizontal strip of Melon Mambo card to echo the blanket across the bed, and some touches of silver to balance it all out.  Here's my card:

I was almost determined not to include butterflies on my card (I was just trying to think a little less literally than I normally do with inspiration pics), but ended up adding a couple of tiny butterflies - they hide a multitude of sins, you know!  I tore the DSP at the bottom of the Hexagon Hive diecut panel, and smudged some ink on my dahlia.  The butterflies help disguise both!

The Just Add Ink Design Team have, as always, come up with gorgeous creations inspired by the inspiration pics.  Please check them out, and join in the fun!

I have listed below all the Stampin' Up! products used to make this card.  If you click on any of the images, you'll be taken direct to my online store.
