I'd like to share with you a card I made for my dear friend, using two fabulous new product lines from Stampin' Up!

The Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper is just "to die for".  I love the intricate, beautifully-coloured, designs.  Mosaic Madness is such a great stamp set, and was the starting point for this card.  I was totally inspired by Beth McAlexander's stunning card; I just made a few little changes.

Stamps: Mosaic Madness, Bring On the Cake
Card: Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
DSP: Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper
Ink: Smoky Slate and Coastal Cabana stampin' pads
Other: Itty Bitty Shapes punch, Mosaic punch, Artisan Label punch, Whisper White organza ribbon, Coastal Cabana ruffle trim, Basic Rhinestones large, Stamp-a-ma-jig, sponge dauber, stampin' dimensionals, mini silver brads

**Please scroll down for this week's Just Add Ink post! **

It has been a while since I've played along with the challenges I love (apart from, of course, my weekly Just Add Ink "fix"!).  The current challenge at Sunny Challenges & Creations is right up my alley .... ie, a MALE card. Woohoo!

I love the cute new Sketched Birthday stamp set, and This & That Epic Day Designer Series Papers - great for 'guy' projects.  Here's what I came up with, in Pool Party and Basic Gray:

Stamps: Sketched Birthday, Gorgeous Grunge
Card: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Pool Party
DSP: This & That Epic Day Designer Series Paper
Ink: Versamark inkpad, Basic Gray and Pool Party stampin' pads, Markers: Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry
Other: Bitty Banners framelits, Hung Up cute clips, White Stampin' Emboss powder, Stampin' Distress tool, Basic Gray stitched grosgrain ribbon, paper snips, sponge dauber, glue dots

This week's Just Add Ink challenge is to use this sketch as the basis for a card or other papercraft project:

I used the sketch to make a special milestone birthday card (the 'number' is stamped inside the card) for a dear friend who is a little partial to pink.
I was keen to use my new Beautifully Baroque embossing folder with Primrose Petals Core'dinations cardstock, so that was my starting point.  My trusty Color Coach tells me that Pink Pirouette pairs well with Primrose Petals, so I went with that!
Here's the card, featuring the lovely embossing folder and matching Beautifully Baroque stamp (one of my favourites from the new Stampin' Up! catalogue):
... and the inside, simply decorated, and ready to be written in:
Stamps: Beautifully Baroque, Label Love, Memorable Moments
Card: Crumb Cake, Primrose Petals Core'dinations, Very Vanilla
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake and Primrose Petals stampin' pads
Other: Beautifully Baroque embossing folder, sanding block, Basic Pearls and Large Basic Pearls, Beautiful Wings embosslits, In Color Dahlia, Artisan Label punch, sponge daubers, Pink Pirouette taffeta ribbon, Crochet Lace Trim, Labels Collection framelits, stampin' dimensionals
Make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team's samples for this week's challenge - they are so beautiful.

JAI #173 : JUST ADD ..... WATER

The inspiration for this week's Just Add Ink challenge came from, of all things, a humble bottle of water!

All of the Just Add Ink Design Team members who travelled to Brisbane for Stampin' Up!'s Convention in May, stayed in apartments that had complimentary water in the fridge on arrival.  Check out the bottle label - these waters were placed there especially for us (at least we can  pretend!).

So, our challenge this week is to Just Add Water, to your card or other papercraft project.  You may interpret this how you like - weather it be water-related stamp images, or watercolouring, or maybe even a Sweet Treat cup filled with water.  Let's see what you come up with!
Here is my card, using some beautiful "watery" paper from the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper Pack, just retired.

..... and the inside of the card:
Stamps: The Open Sea, That's the Ticket, Up Up & Away (retired)
Card: Pacific Point, Marina Mist, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
DSP: Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper (retired)
Ink: Pacific Point stampin' pad and marker, Marina Mist marker, Soft Suede stampin' pad, Crumb Cake stampin' pad, Soft Sky stampin' pad
Other: 2 1/2" Circle punch, Ticket Duo builder punch, Basics Glimmer Brad, Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon, Pacific Point stitched grosgrain ribbon, sponge dauber, Linen Thread, Sea Charms dies (not SU!), stampin' dimensionals
Make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team's samples. We hope to see you playing along with our challenge this week!

This week at Just Add Ink, Mae has challenged us to create something inspired by the cover of the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.  It is such a cute, fun, scene, that also featured at Stampin' Up!'s recent Convention; I just love it.  Take a look:

A little Ikea frame has been sitting unloved in my cupboard for a while.  I decided to make a 'sampler' of the new Stampin' Up! In Colors, to display in my craft room.  Here's what I came up with, inspired by the photo above:

...... and a closer view of a few of the "punchies":

Stamps: Broadsheet Alphabet (retired); Memorable Moments; Hello, Lovely
Card: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar, Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Canteloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Baked Brown Sugar stampin' pads, Soft Suede marker
