JAI # 171: A SKETCH, AND SOME YUMMY NEW STAMPIN' UP! COLOURS

This week at Just Add Ink, we have yet another of Mae's great sketches to work from, to make a card or other papercraft project.

I had a great time playing with some of the gorgeous new colours that are being released in Stampin' Up!'s range on 2nd July.  One of the great perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is having access to new products early.  I have used some sneak-peek product that I received for free at Convention, along with other products I've been able to pre-order this month.

Here's what I have created with the new colours of Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar:

....... and a close-up of some shimmery bits on the card, courtesy of Champagne Mist shimmer spray:

How cute is the clay flower? **Exciting new product alert!!**  You can create your own air-dried clay flowers and buttons, in three sizes, and colour-match them to your SU! projects, using ink.  Woohoo!

Here's a list of the products used on this card:

Stamps: Oh, Hello; Hello Lovely (available 2nd July)
Card: Baked Brown Sugar (new), Very Vanilla, Pistachio Pudding (new), Crisp Cantaloupe (new)

SC 081/3: FAREWELL TO STAMPIN' UP!'S BABY BUNDLE AND PRINT POETRY

The current challenge at Sunny Challenges & Creations, is to make a card or other papercraft project using retiring Stampin' Up! product, and this sketch:

I will miss the cute Baby Bundle stamp set, that retires from our range on 1st July.  The bright colours in the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper (also retiring) ensure a cheery farewell to this sweet stamp set!  I've used Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit on my card.  Although it's not obvious in the photo, I alternated between Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals ink for the stamped images.

Stamps: Baby Bundle
Card: Primrose Petals, Very Vanilla, Summer Starfruit
DSP: Print Poetry Designer Series Paper stack
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Crumb Cake stampin' pads
Other: Blender pen, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Primrose Petals stitched satin ribbon, Linen Thread, Adorning Accents edgelits die, Stamp-a-ma-jig, sponge dauber, glue dots, multipurpose liquid glue

JAI #170 : JUST ADD ..... LEAVES

This week at Just Add Ink, we are challenging you to make a card or papercraft item incorporating LEAVES.  This challenge was my suggestion .... I love "earthy" things!

Well, the card I have come up with is a veritable "leaf-fest".  I've used leaves from three different stamp sets.

The main (how cute is it?) image, from Stampin' Up!'s Four Seasons stamp set, was first inked up using a Crumb Cake stampin' pad.  I then "thumped" the rubber with markers - Soft Suede and Early Espresso - to give a bit of colour variation.  It has turned out to be a rather subtle effect, but thought I'd tell you what I'd done anyway!

Stamps: Four Seasons, Confetti, Lovely As A Tree, Itty Bitty Banners
Card: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake stampin' pad, Early Espresso stampin' pad and marker, Soft Suede marker, Cherry Cobbler stampin' pad and marker
Other: 1" Circle punch, 2 1/2" Circle punch, Perfect Pennants Bigz die, Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch, Naturals Trim ribbon, Bitty Banners framelits, Modern Label punch, Neutrals brads, sponge dauber, stampin' dimensionals

STAMPIN' UP!'S TEA FOR TWO PINWHEEL BIRTHDAY CARD

It's a case of "out with the old, and in with the new" on the card I have to share with you tonight.  Most of the products I've used on this card, which is making its way interstate to a very special young person, are from Stampin' Up!'s Seasonal Catalogue.  These products are available to buy only until 1st July.  I've mixed things up a bit, by popping on one of my new "favourites" - a great sentiment set called Label Love, that has a matching (Artisan Label) punch.

Stamps: Label Love (available 2nd July)
Card: Crumb Cake, Whisper White
DSP: Tea for Two Designer Series Paper
Ink: Crumb Cake and Pretty in Pink stampin' pads
Other: Pinwheel sizzlits die, Artisan Label punch (out 2nd July), Cloudy Day embossing folder, sponge dauber, Pretty in Pink brad, Pretty in Pink 1/4" stitched grosgrain ribbon, glue dots

If you'd like to buy any of these products (other than the new stamps and punch, that will be available next month), you can get them here, in my online store.  If you haven't shopped in my store before, you need to set up an account (which takes only a couple of minutes) by following the prompts, then you're good to go.  If you have any questions, please email me!

JAI #169: STAMPIN' UP!'S "MY FRIEND" SUNSET

This week at Just Add Ink, Delys has come up with an inspiration photo, that can be interpreted in any way you like to create a papercraft project.  Here's the pic:

I love the black silhouettes against the vivid colours of the sunset, so have recreated that look on my card.  I was going for a postcard/polaroid sort of look with this one.  Unfortunately I haven't quite managed to capture how vivid the colours really are.  I created the background by dripping ink onto watercolour paper, then spreading it horizontally with my aquapainter.

Stamps: My Friend, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Card: Basic Black, Whisper White, Watercolour paper
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise inks, Jet Black Staz-On inkpad, Basic Black marker, Versamark inkpad
Other: Black stampin' emboss powder, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Brights brads, Essentials Paper-Piercing pack, Paper-Piercing tool and Stampin' Pierce Mat, Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-jig, aquapainter
