JAI #126 : STAMPIN' UP!'S VINTAGE VOGUE

Mae has a great sketch challenge for us, at Just Add Ink this week.

I don't often make square cards, but used this sketch to make a card for my sister-in-law who turned 50 recently.  I am blessed to have three wonderful sisters-in-law, who I love dearly.  Sharon, the recipient of this card, really saved my life when I was struggling desperately with being a new first-time Mum - something I will never forget.  I put a lot of love into this card!

There's a bit going on, but all the detail is thanks to Stampin' Up!'s beautiful Vintage Vogue stamp set.  I've stamped the vine image on the background paper, using Crumb Cake ink, and the small flower is stamped in Soft Suede ink.  The vine image was stamped again on the larger of the two Framelits dies, and the sentiment panel was created with a NEW stamp set that will be coming out in our Annual Catalogue in August.  Those of us who attended Stampin' Up! Convention in Canberra in May were lucky enough to receive the fabulous Memorable Moments stamp set, consisting of numbers 0 to 9 inclusive, along with a few greetings and a frame stamp that co-ordinates with the Labels Collection Framelits dies - woohoo!  LOVE any stamps that co-ordinate with a punch or die, and I have been longing for some number stamps.  This set will get a lot of use, I'm sure.

Now that I've completed the card, I can see the sentiments are a bit wonky - but, hey, that's the charm of hand-made cards, isn't it?!

The larger flower was inked up in Crumb Cake ink, and "rock and rolled" in Rich Razzleberry ink.  A smaller Soft Suede flower was cut out, added to the top, and secured with a glimmer brad.
